Live Stream of the Chrism Mass

Beloved child of God, tomorrow is the Chrism Mass at Holy Cross Cathedral to be led by Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Archbishop of Lagos with His Eminence, Anthony Cardinal Okogie and All the Priests in this part of the Archdiocese in attendance.

It is at this Mass that Priests gathered around the Bishop renew their commitment to Priestly Service - commitment to be faithful, fruitful and totally configured to Jesus Christ, the ideal Priest. We are encouraged to pray for our priests and if we are able, wish them happy feast day since Holy Thursday also marks the institution of the Sacred Priesthood by Jesus Christ.

It is also at this Mass that the Oils of the Sick and Catechumens are blessed, and the Oil of Chrism(used for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Order and the dedication of Churches) is consecrated. These oils are used by the Priests for the administration of the Sacraments throughout the year, till the next Chrism Mass.

The Homily at this Mass will be delivered by Msgr. John Aniagwu, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese. Come and listen to a Spirit-filled exhortation and powerful sermon.

It will be nice to attend. But if you're not able to attend, kindly follow the Mass online at www.chrismmasslagos.com
Or

You can also watch the Mass on DSTV (Lumen Christi TV) Channel 350.

The Mass starts at 9:00am. Holy Hour/Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament begins at 7:30am (This will be led by Msgr. Paschal Nwaezeapu of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Lekki).

Spread the Good News by sharing this message to as many people as possible.

Wishing you all a blessed and spirit-filled Holy Week.
