Endurance pays
By Rev. Fr. Francis Babatunde

The Christian faith is a cross-filled state; it is a way of life that is not a bed of roses. For this reason, there are many followers of the Way but few adherents of the itineraries of this Way. Many want its glories while rejecting its pains, toils, and crosses. As we approach the start of a new liturgical year, Jesus teaches us that in following him, we must expect turbulence but rather than throwing in the towel we must show our endurance for it surely pays.

Prayer: God, I want to serve you amidst the opposing factors of our days. Give me the grace to be enduring in my faith so that I may witness you to all of humanity. Amen.
