Becoming Jesus' Family

Often times, people misinterpret today’s gospel as Jesus being disrespectful to his family. NO! Jesus would never do that. Rather, Hem is telling us that we have a share in his kingdom if wwe listen to the word of God and abide by it.
Jesus says we can be his brothers, his sisters and his mother if we hear the word of God and do what it commands us. It is not enough to attend all masses and sit at the front pews. It is not enough to hear even the pope preach. What have you done with the messages? Do you live your life in accordance with the scriptures? My dear friends, we need to reflect on our lives and think if Jesus will be able to call us his family, with the way we live our lives.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us to listen to your word and abide by its that we may become your family. Amen
